Takes New Honda Campaign for a Test Drive
In addition to launching the new “Everyday Adventures” campaign, the Hawaii Honda Dealers Ad Association is also debuting a new tagline, “Home in the Islands.”

HONOLULU, May 17, 2019 – This month Hawaii Honda Dealers Ad Association released a new marketing campaign, “Everyday Adventures,” bringing a local face to the driver’s seat of a beloved Honda model, the 2019 Honda Pilot. The name and voice are well-known throughout Hawaii, and no other than award-winning vocalist, guitarist, songwriter and composer, Henry Kapono.
Kapono hits all the right notes while hitting the road with the Honda Pilot, going everywhere from taking his kids to school to a packed performance on Waikiki Beach. The latest Pilot model offers spacious seating for up to eight and every vehicle comes equipped with Honda Sensing’s safety and driver assistive technology. Drivers will also enjoy the Pilot’s Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ integration, power tailgate, remote engine start and much more.
The new Everyday Adventures campaign features local adventurers and transports Hawaii residents “behind the scenes” as they explore their island home. Viewers can follow the action through TV commercials and videos online and on Hawaii Honda Dealers’ social media channels.
“My Honda Everyday Adventure was more than just about driving a great car, it was about getting to know the Honda family. They have embraced our home in the islands and the spirit of Aloha for years and I’m proud to partner with them. “Aloha” That’s who we are!” said Henry Kapono.
Kapono has been at the forefront of contemporary music throughout his career, producing 20 albums as a solo artist. He has won 15 Na Hoku Hanohano Awards including awards for Male Vocalist of the Year and Song of the Year. He is nominated for eight awards this year including Music Video of the Year, Compilation Album of the Year, and Contemporary Album of the Year.
In addition, the Hawaii Honda Dealers is proud to introduce its new tagline “Home in the Islands” inspired by the popular song originally penned by Henry Kapono. The new tagline captures Honda’s long and trusted history in the islands since 1968, and how the brand continues to this day, being a mainstay capturing the spirit for those who wish to live, work and play at “home in the islands.”
